Description
The Secret Eternal Love is inspired by a Han Dynasty “chicken heart” jade pendant, a form historically associated with devotion, protection, and enduring bonds. At the center of the composition is an oval void, suggesting both presence and absence, a quiet space where two souls meet without form or name.
Three traditional Chinese cloud motifs drift through the composition. They appear and disappear within the movement, symbolizing a love that exists beneath the surface. This hidden connection reveals itself only under certain conditions, when the right person appears at the wrong time. The clouds also carry connotations of heaven, destiny, and the unseen forces that guide human relationships.
The surrounding hexagonal boundary, rendered in earthy rust and gold tones, echoes the surface of ancient jade aged by time. Its organic texture suggests history, memory, and continuity. The painting is intended not only as a visual meditation on eternal love between soulmates, but also as a vessel for positive energy, offering harmony and emotional resonance to those who encounter it.
